๐ฟ About Velora
Velora is a student-run experimental project focused on developing biodegradable materials through iterative testing and documentation. The goal is to explore how simple natural ingredients can be transformed into flexible, film-like structures by controlling key variables such as heat, mixing, and drying conditions.
Each iteration builds on previous results through observation, comparison, and refinement, allowing material properties to be systematically improved over time.
๐งช Project Status
Velora is currently in an active experimental phase with multiple prototypes developed:
- V1: Brittle baseline structure
- V2: Flexible but inconsistent film formation
- V3: Improved structural cohesion
- V4: Thick hydrogel-like structure with improved containment but low strength
๐ฏ Goal of the Project
The goal of Velora is to:
- Develop biodegradable, flexible materials using simple natural compounds
- Understand how processing conditions affect material structure
- Improve consistency, strength, and flexibility through controlled iteration
๐ฌ Research Focus
Velora investigates how:
- thickness
- drying conditions
- mixing consistency
affect the mechanical properties of starch-based and bio-based polymer materials.
“The Velora Lab explores how small changes in processing conditions can significantly influence the structure and behavior of biodegradable materials.”
